“At the Obedient Sons show (the line by Durham’s Swaim Hutson), I was chatting up Hutson and his adorable wife Christina after the show, and Mike Dirnt, Green Day’s bassist, pops up.

“It all makes sense now, of course. He’s a partner in Hutson’s company. But that fact didn’t register at that moment because I was quite dumbfounded while shaking his hand.”

“Green Day’s Mike Dirnt (see photo, with Peroni model) was backstage Friday night at Obedient Sons’ show at The Fifth Avenue Club. His wife is one of the collection’s designers. He sought to ease his nerves by asking for Peroni beer. He and his wife later unwound at an after-party at Beatrice Inn.”
