Check out the awesome music videos for "Stop, Drop and Roll!" and "Mother Mary" on YouTube. Hurry before Warner decides to take them down again! They should've been released, in my opinion. Enjoy!

~Some videos from the PINHEAD GUNPOWDER show are finding their way on to YouTube. Here is one from the sing-a-long at the beginning of the show. Also, Gilman tweeted updates throughout the night. If you use twitter, please follow them @924GILMAN.

Last night Billie Joe and Jason White hooked up with their sideband Pinhead Gunpoweder to play some gigs at 924 Gilman Street, Green Day's old stomping ground. It was a benefit concert for a friend of thiers who has breast cancer. You can check out Pictures and Video here on the Green Day Authority. Personally, I think Billie wears a dress pretty well. :D Great to see them out again!

Many Green Day Concerts on YouTube
Posted by Delfina

If you were sad that Warner Music has pulled a bunch of official videos from YouTube, a consolation might be that a user called GreenDayConcerts (I’m not sure if it’s someone official or a fan) uploaded a treasure trove of several hundred live Green Day concert videos to YouTube, ranging from 1989 to 2000, within just the last three weeks.

I’ve only watched a few. Here’s one that I really liked. The audio quality is not very good, and the camera work is a bit odd in parts, but I love their early performances. I love the silly remnants of a few bleached blond dreads bobbing on Billie Joe’s head, and I love his facial expressions here. He looks like a fierce kitten: an adorable ragamuffin, but watch out or he’ll bite your hand off! ;)

I’ve always had some kind of strange facination with the 1000 Hours, Slappy, etc. Era. I’m not sure why, but I find it so cool. I think it’s because when Billie was my age, he was playing shows at Gilman. To me that’s the coolest thing in the world. He’s one lucky dreaded kid up there. ;)
(I liked the descriptions, too!)

Billie Joe at that age really does remind me of the stray cats that had kittens in my grandparents’ garden in Italy. Even when the kittens were tiny and were these cute little fuzz balls that couldn’t even walk yet, they would fiercely hiss and spit at you if you tried to go near them. :)

And I love that era too!
