Check out the awesome music videos for "Stop, Drop and Roll!" and "Mother Mary" on YouTube. Hurry before Warner decides to take them down again! They should've been released, in my opinion. Enjoy!

~Some videos from the PINHEAD GUNPOWDER show are finding their way on to YouTube. Here is one from the sing-a-long at the beginning of the show. Also, Gilman tweeted updates throughout the night. If you use twitter, please follow them @924GILMAN.

Last night Billie Joe and Jason White hooked up with their sideband Pinhead Gunpoweder to play some gigs at 924 Gilman Street, Green Day's old stomping ground. It was a benefit concert for a friend of thiers who has breast cancer. You can check out Pictures and Video here on the Green Day Authority. Personally, I think Billie wears a dress pretty well. :D Great to see them out again!

Thanks for posting Abbey. It’s cool news, but to be honest on my one listen I thought it was really awful. :) I can’t stand that sort of bombastic, overproduced music. “21 Guns” is a great song, so that, by itself, was a bit of a saving grace, and as always I found Billie Joe’s vocals moving…

But… ech!

Oh good, it’s not just me :). I like it much better with Billie Joe singing by himself. All the strings and stuff in the background was just too much.

I absolutely love it. To me its an entirely different song. While I agree with you that I would not have listened to this originally if this hit the radio as it is presented here by the AI cast (a non-Green Day song), but I think the musical-theater interpretation of it is just full and rich and beautiful as sung between the AI characters whatshername and johnny. I enjoyed hearing the orchestral and choral layers and it tells a story to me that is so different than what I had originally thought of as “21 Guns” which I never thought of as a love song.

When hearing it the 1st time i was disappointed…until Billie came in. I think i wouldn’t like it so much if he didn’t have some vocals in it. But I do think it’s a tad over-done…
