Check out the awesome music videos for "Stop, Drop and Roll!" and "Mother Mary" on YouTube. Hurry before Warner decides to take them down again! They should've been released, in my opinion. Enjoy!

~Some videos from the PINHEAD GUNPOWDER show are finding their way on to YouTube. Here is one from the sing-a-long at the beginning of the show. Also, Gilman tweeted updates throughout the night. If you use twitter, please follow them @924GILMAN.

Last night Billie Joe and Jason White hooked up with their sideband Pinhead Gunpoweder to play some gigs at 924 Gilman Street, Green Day's old stomping ground. It was a benefit concert for a friend of thiers who has breast cancer. You can check out Pictures and Video here on the Green Day Authority. Personally, I think Billie wears a dress pretty well. :D Great to see them out again!

My Book…
Posted by Delfina

A book I co-wrote with my friend Richard has been published and will be out in January. It has nothing to do with Green Day. It’s a handbook about working in egalitarian collectives (an example of a collective that you’ve all heard of is Gilman St.). I used to volunteer with a few. The one I’m most fond of is Food Not Bombs.

You can read a description and an excerpt here. There are more excerpts in the publisher’s catalog (pdf), on pages 8 and 9. Comics are by Strangers in a Tangled Wilderness.

That’s so cool that you wrote a book! It sounds really interesting.

This is awesome, D! I used to volunteer at an anarchist book shop in DC that was run as a collective, so this looks really interesting to me! Congrats!

Congratulations! Can’t wait to read it.

Thanks for all your nice words! :)

(random question) Is it published by a mainstream company os self published?

Comment from Delfina December 21, 2009, 1:07 am

It’s not self-published, and it’s also not published by a large mainstream publisher. AK Press is a publisher and distributor of radical books that has been around for quite a while and is well known in the political/radical scene. (It’s kind of like an independent record label vs. a major label.)

:D Congrats, Delfina! It actually sounds interesting and I like the cover. ;) I love how you compared the publisher to an independent label- how punk rock of you, haha.:D Congrats again!!

@Delfina: Oh cool thanks, I was just wondering.

Sounds like a much needed handbook on the process. Congratulations, Delfina!

Hi Delfina. Haven’t seen anything from you in a while. Hope all is well. Just wanted to tell you that I got your book, and am thrilled. I don’t have a collective, but a business/family thing that I have been struggling with. Haven’t finished it, but was grabbed by the part about talking to people ahead of time — trying to influence them, etc. A real problem I have been experiencing, and something I recently recognized. You really clarified it for me. Great book, thanks!
